Braga Book Presentation

For me, the presentation in Braga was truly wonderful — especially because all the previous ones had depended entirely on me. I had to handle every invitation, think about each person, organize the logistics… everything was on my shoulders.

But in Braga, I simply showed up — and it was beautiful to be at the Municipal Library.

Honestly, I wish every event from now on could be like that — haha.

The event was also held to launch Marlúcio’s book, which made for an interesting shared conversation. For a while, Mona Lisa on the Titanic stole the spotlight. Certainly because of its powerful stories and the curiosity it sparks when you start listening to the journey.

Truthfully, I deeply believe in this story — in its power, in how it can be felt and how it resonates with people who, at some point, have experienced something similar.

Even if it’s not the same case of violence against women or the tragedies I describe — everyone has a mother, a father, or someone who once took care of them. Everyone can relate to that pain, to the desperation of not having someone to care for you anymore and suddenly asking yourself: Now where do I go? What am I supposed to do?

The book is profoundly emotional, and it draws people in because it speaks to what is most basic and universal about our humanity — as individuals, as a society, as families, as children.

It was incredible to take part in that event. Marlúcio’s book Abilio Abelha, that was also presented there, which is available in Portuguese.
